Background:

Jackie Lewis is a board certified Physician Assistant who earned her degree from Grand Valley State University. She cares for patients in the office as well as occasionally in the hospital.

Jackie grew up in the rural town of Stanton, Michigan with two siblings. In high school she was named an outstanding scholar-athlete, holding a record for 34 points scored in a basketball game. She then attended Central Michigan University with the goal of becoming a health and science high school teacher. After 5.5 years of college she had changed her direction to attending PA school and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Biology. She then attended the prestigious PA school at Grand Valley State University, where she served as Vice President of her graduating class. She practiced general outpatient medicine in Edmore, Michigan for a time prior to becoming a part of CIMA Cardiology with Dr. Sherrie Brooks.

Jackie sees great importance in lifelong learning. She aims to continuously provide up to date, best practice care for all people she encounters and cares for. She enjoys attending conferences and staying involved in medical organizations, including, but not limited to:

Member, American Association of Physician Assistants

While at CMU Jackie met her husband, CJ and they have been happily married ever since. She enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, golfing, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family. She participates in community sports whenever possible. She has a knack for wood working; mostly using lumber from her father/grandfather’s old lumber mill.
