Adam Farnum, N.P.-C.

Adam M. Farnum is a Board Certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, credentialed by the ANCC and licensed by the State of Michigan.

Background:

Adam was born and raised in DeWitt, MI and graduated from DeWitt High School in 2002. He then attended Michigan State University where he earned degrees in Political Theory and Secondary Education in 2006. After teaching in Lansing for a couple of years, he decided to make a career change and attended to Lansing Community College to study Nursing. He then went on to earn his BSN in 2017 from Grand Canyon University and his MSN in 2020 from Spring Arbor University. After starting his nursing career in 2014, he has worked in long term care, neurology/neurosurgery, orthopedics, vascular medicine, and most recently taught for the College of Nursing at MSU. He enjoys chronic illness management, health promotion, preventative medicine, and collaborating with patients on their treatment plans. His specific interests include hyperlipidemia and hypertension management, congenital heart disease, and weight management.

Personal Information:

Adam and his wife Beth were married in 2018 and welcomed their first child, Mia, in 2019. As a family, they enjoy spending time with their extended families, taking trips up north to Adam’s family cabin, and creating arts and crafts. Personally, Adam enjoys exercising, reading, video games, scuba diving, and completing home improvement projects.
