Background:

Rachael grew up in Clinton Township, MI (located near the Detroit area). She moved to the Lansing area in 2010 to attend Olivet University. She got her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with a major in pre-medicine studies and biochemistry minor. She graduated in the top 5 of her class at Olivet. After a gap year, she moved to Grand Rapids, and she went to Grand Valley State University for her Master of Physician Assistant degree. After graduation from PA school, she moved to Lansing with her now husband and has lived in the area for the last 7 years. She currently lives in Dimondale where she moved about 3 years ago. She has also worked in gastroenterology at Michigan Gastroenterology Institute in Lansing and ran an outreach program in rural areas including Eaton Rapids and Mount Pleasant. She has also worked in rheumatology at the Great Lakes Center of rheumatology. Her favorite areas of medicine are gastroenterology and osteoporosis (bone health)

Personal Information:

Rachael and her husband Stephen met at Olivet 11 years ago and have been married since 9/2018. Stephen is a field manager at Frankenmuth Insurance Company. They have 2 dogs, (Rachael’s fur babies), a golden retriever named Hope, and a grey hound named Irene. She enjoys hiking, basketball (which she used to play in college and still tries to play when she can), yoga, and reading.
