Cattleya Nery is an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPC-NP) who is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Background:

Cattleya grew up in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Grand Rapids in 2007 with her family. She graduated from Ferris State University with her BSN in Nursing in 2012 and then went on to Walden University to get her MSN in Nursing focused on AGPC-NP in 2020. Before nursing, she worked in Title and Escrow. Once her family moved to Grand Rapids, she was able to pursue her profession in healthcare. She worked for two and a half years as a Registered Nurse (RN) in neuro critical care and then for seven and a half years as an RN in skilled nursing and rehab and LTC. She enjoys geriatric medicine and hopes to be a great resource for adults as they age. Cattleya hopes to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities patients face, especially when dealing with several conditions at the same time. She is excited for this next steppingstone from nurse to clinician and is thrilled to be joining the CIMA team.

Personal Information:

Cattleya and her husband Jay met in high school and have been married for 21 years. Jay is a plant supervisor and together they have 3 lovely girls.

Hobbies:

Cattleya’s hobbies include strength-training, watching movies, listening to audio books, and binge-watching Korean drama and other shows. She loves the South Korean boyband BTS and is a proud member of their fan club.
